There is a reason why 49ers have more flags than any other team in NFL this season. Players are lack of discipline. When that happens, it is always the coach to blame. That sums up this disappointing season. Fire Mike Nolan and make him take Alex Smith with him.

Unfair.
One cannot blame the under-performance of a team solely on its coach - as if you'd blame students' poor performance on the professor alone. It is not to say that Nolan is the best coach possible for the 9ers, but there is a sense of romance when he's the only other father-and-son coach team who both coached for the same NFL team. The re-building 9ers needs a complete face-lift, tummy tuck, botox injection, and the whole nine yards.
Then again, a disappointing game is a disappointing game.
